James Wade Robinson VIEW PROFILE

James Wade Robinson, 51, of Abilene, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2004.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, September 2, 2004 at First Central Presbyterian Church with Cliff Stewart officiating, under the direction of North's Funeral Home, 242 Orange Street.

Mr. Robinson was born November 3, 1952, to James and Cathryn Robinson in Houston, Texas.  He moved to Abilene in 1955.  He graduated from Cooper High School in 1971.  He received his Bachelors of Arts degree in 1975 and a Masters degree in Education in 1978, from Austin College.

Mr. Robinson taught 8th grade American History for the Plano Independent School District for 23 years.  After returning back to Abilene in 1999, he taught 8th grade American History for the Abilene Independent School District for 3 years.

Survivors include his parents, James and Cathryn Robinson of Abilene; one brother, John Robinson of Fairview, Texas; one sister, Janie Long of Austin, Texas; four nephews, Austin Robinson, Travis Long, Wade Long and Tucker Long; one niece, Rebecca Robinson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Presbyterian Food Pantry, 400 Orange Street, Abilene, Texas 79601.
