  Michael Clinton (Mike) Murphy, 67 years old, died peacefully on May 11th, 2021 in Abilene, Texas.Michael was born to Dallas Woodrow Murphy and Lota Faye (Terry) Murphy. Mike and his identical twin brother, Patrick Nathan (Pat), were born on July 27th, 1953, in Abilene Texas.

Mike & Pat were known throughout their lives by family and friends as "the Murphy twins". Many a time upon a chance meeting, a person never knew for sure to which twin they were speaking.

Mike graduated from Abilene Cooper High School and went on to further his education at McMurry University with a major in the Arts. Mike's art pieces were his passion. Portraits and macrame were his chosen art forms. Several of Mike's pieces were included in shows at local galleries.

For many years, Michael participated in both youth baseball and adult softball leagues and played in the center field position.

Mike's true favorite past time was spending time with his son, Dallas Murphy. His relationship with Dallas was undoubtedly the most important relationship in his life and Dallas felt the same.

Mike worked at Lockheed Martin Corporation for 15 years and after 9 years, retired from FMC Technologies, Incorporated.

Michael is survived by his son Dallas Sean Murphy (Rocio), grandson, Joshua Murphy, brother, Steve Murphy (Robin), sister, Janice Tiner, several nieces, nephews, cousins and many life long friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Patrick Nathan Murphy and his brother in law, Wayne Tiner.

Visitation will be on Saturday May 22nd, 2021 from 2:00pm-3:00pm, with Memorial services to immediately follow at Girdner Funeral Home, Abilene, TX
