Etta Fay Jordan Hill, 53, passed away February 2, 2007. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Church of God in Christ with Pastor J. C. Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, directed by Abilene Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hill was born a blessing to Thomas Edward and Dollie Faye Jordan on April 27, 1053, in Baird, Texas. She graduated from Cooper High School in 1971. Etta enlisted in the US Marine Corps, where she served her country. Etta was a former employee of Taco Bell for 15 years and she also was employed by Abilene State School, Taco Buenos, Mrs. Baird's Bakery and Sam's Club.

In 1980, she was joined in Holy Matrimony to Roy Hill and she remained a dedicated and devoted wife until her Lord called her home.

Etta and Roy dedicated their lives to Christ and became members of Bethel Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor R.L. Williams and remain current members to this day, under the leadership of Pastor J. C. Johnson, Sr.

Etta fought a valiant battle with cancer and she traveled from Life to Eternity, Friday, February 2, 2007, at Hendrick Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Dollie Jordan.

She had a quiet spirit but she loved life, her family. She loved people and she always had a smile on her face.

Those who will cherish her smile and laughter that will forever be a part of the love and special memories in their hearts are: her husband of 26 years, Roy Hill; son, Michael Jordan; daughter, Mayaca Hill; grandchildren, Gabriel Jordan, Actavias Lowry, Quaesean Hill, and Jehki Hill, all of Abilene, Texas. She is also survived by two brothers, Earl Johnson and wife, Starla of Buffalo Gap, Texas and Jackie Jordan and wife Peggy of Abilene, Texas; special relatives, brothers and sisters-in-law, Curtis Sr. and Laveta King; nieces and nephews, Ashley, Curtis Jr., Shaneca and Quentin King, all of Abilene, Texas; and a host of relatives, church family and friends.

A visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
