A post from Paul's sister on www.gonetoosoon.org:  My "little brother" left so many broken hearts on this earth.  Someone said, "Paul liked everybody," but everybody liked Paul, too.  It was like losing a child because he was much younger than I was and my heart hurts every day for the the phone to ring, and I hear him say, "Sister Dear, it's your little brother".  He was my baby and I loved him so very much.  I hope he loved me just half as much.

Born Curtis Paul Carter, Paul worked for Harold Crawford Firestone and owned his own Automotive Repair Shop - Carter's Automotive and his company motto was "We Care".  I miss Paul's laugh and zest for life.  I would always look him up when I was back in town.

Paul died as a result of cardiac arrest.

I do miss his zest for life and really enjoyed getting together with him when I made it back to town. We had fun together and shared many laughs and memories. The particulars of his life are birthdate 7/31/1953 date of passing 8/11/2005 and I believe his sisters name is Betty Magee and that she still lives in Abilene. He is also survived by a brother (Stafford) Jerry Carter and I believe he lives in Saginaw and works for the currency facility located there. I believe he was a member of Southside Baptist Church?? the one on So. 20th and Willis. Guess that is about all I can tell ya.

Dear Sis,

What a sweet post, and what a sweet person it seems we lost!   Will you please email Jean Gilmore to give her some specifics?  She has volunteered to post such information on our class website.  When did he pass to his Father's Hands, how old was he, etc.

Her email address is:

texasjewels@wtconnect.com  or   texasjewels1953@gmail.com

Thank you, Sis...and what is your name?  Where do you live?  Do you still have relatives in Abilene?  Well, please communicate with Jean.

Thank you, and God's blessings to you,

Jane Bander Williams
